Grand Lake, Colorado
In the year 1896, my ancestor built a cabin in the mountains of Colorado. Today, the cabin still stands amongst the pines. Diaries of my ancestor's daily lives line the dusty shelves, along with leather bound albums of tin-type portraits, and the dining room chandelier still holds red candle sticks. The stories told through the cabin's structure itself, or passed down from my father's family prompt me to capture my experiences at the cabin through careful observation - to continue the preservation of narratives within my family.
